Competition Team Requirements

 

General Participation

​

All competition team dancers are required to:

• Attend two mandatory competitions each season

• Perform in the Year-End Recital

• Participate in both community events:

• Haddon Heights Christmas Parade

• Haddon Heights 4th of July Parade

• Attend Choreography Week

• Attend the Summer Boot Camp (COMPETITIVE TEAM ONLY)

• Attend weekly Competition Rehearsal Classes, where routines will be practiced

• Travel with the team to Hershey Park Nationals – Summer 2027 (COMPETITIVE TEAM ONLY)

• The competitive team will travel to nationals every other year. 

• SLACK will be used for all communication along with emails.

Class Requirements

​

Camettes (Ages 3–5)

• Must take at least one class during each of the three sessions

• Perform in the Year-End Recital

• Participate in both parades

• Attend one competition per year

 

Ages 6+

• Minimum of 2 classes per week

• One class must be the Competition Team class

 

Ages 9+

• Minimum of 3 classes per week

• One class must be the Competition Team class

• One class must be Ballet

 

Ages 11–18

• Minimum of 4 classes per week

• One class must be the Competition Team class

• One class must be Ballet

Performance Requirements

​

Recreational Team

• Performs in their colored team dance 2 competitions and in the recital

 

Competition Team

• performs in the company production

• Also performs their Recreational Team dance

• Required to perform at nationals

• opportunity to perform in extra dances

 

Hip Hop Crew

• Performs one Hip Hop routine

• Must be enrolled in a Hip Hop class

• Also participates in recreational and competition routines

 

Team Fees

• Recreational Team: $150 per year

• Competition Team: $250 per year

• Hip Hop Crew: $50 per year

 

Solos

If selected for a solo:

• $200 fee

• Includes 4 private choreography lessons
